Come and Hear!

"When Jesus was gathering His disciples He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me." Then Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."

Just like Nathanael, we each have an idea of what God is like and of who Jesus is. And just like Nathanael, when we meet the Christ for ourselves our preconceptions evaporate. Our regenerated hearts and our newly open minds are filled with the reality of Jesus. When Nathanael had that moment he said to Jesus, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

Every Sunday morning I pray that God would let me point the way to Him and that He would keep me out of the way so that I don't block the light. It is my desire to bring people closer to God and God's Word, to remove some preconceptions, and to help people see God's light more brightly, with more clarity, and with greater intensity.

May the Word renew your mind so that you may be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Come and hear about Jesus!
