Life in our church is about understanding people where they are, inviting them into a family of believers who have pledged to walk together on a journey with Christ. Because Jesus is leading this journey, those who follow don't get to control the destination, or the happenings along the way. The vital thing is to know that the process shapes us to become more like Christ, who is always with us as we learn to trust Him completely.

The Warden Community Church was founded in 1903, and in 1908 built the church building. The basement was dug by volunteers. Church members brought heavy stones on horse-drawn wagons to build the foundation. Members hand-carved much of the woodwork. The name of the church was: "Die Kongregationale Freudenfeld Kirche." This translates as "The Congregational Field of Joy Church." The motto of the church was taken from Psalm 37:5 "Commit your ways to the Lord" and was graphically reproduced as a beautiful gold leaf and lacquer plaque in gothic German lettering that is still on display in the narthex of the church today. In 1948, the church adopted the language of English for regular worship, and in 1950 it was voted to officially change the name of the church to the Warden Community Congregational Church. Not long thereafter, the term "congregational" was omitted from the name. In 1953 the church decided to expand the physical structure to enable more ministry. A fellowship hall was added that included a new kitchen. By the mid 1950's the Warden Community Church found itself serving an expanding population due to the new farming opportunities that came with the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project. |

In 2001 the church adopted a master site plan that set out in phases the plans for making additions to the church structure. Phase 1 of that plan was completed in 2003 with the construction of new modern restrooms off of the fellowship hall, the renovation of the narthex for better circulation of people, and expansion of the nursery for the children.
The present ministries of the church include Children's Choir, Adult Choir, STATIC Youth Group, a Wednesday evening Bible class, a Sunday morning Bible class for adults, Sunday School for children, Sunday night praise sings, camp for school-age children, Vacation Bible School, serving the community at the Warden Food Bank, and of course worship of the Lord!
